UPI Transactions Fail, Users Frustrated as Payments Get Stuck
Thousands of UPI users across India are facing major transaction failures today, sparking frustration and concerns over digital payments. Popular payment apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm are reportedly experiencing widespread glitches, leaving users unable to complete their transactions.
According to Downdetector, a website that tracks online service disruptions, over 3,000 complaints regarding UPI payment failures have been reported since 6 PM IST.
Users Report Stuck & Failed Payments
Social media platforms, especially X (formerly Twitter), are flooded with complaints from users struggling to send or receive money. Some reported failed payments, while others faced money deductions without confirmation from the recipient’s end.
“I tried making a UPI payment at a grocery store, but it kept failing. Even switching between Google Pay and Paytm didn’t work,” said Rajesh Sharma on X.
Many users have tagged their respective banks and payment service providers, demanding an urgent fix for the issue.
